Smoke Alarms Australia has acquired 100% of the residential smoke alarm servicing business of Coastal Fire Services, a fire services provider based in the Newcastle region of New South Wales.

Coastal's smoke alarm servicing business is the fourth acquisition the Merchant Place investor group has made in the Essential Home Services sector.

Smoke Alarms Australia is headquartered in Sydney but operates nationally. It is a leading provider of smoke alarm inspection services, and electrical and gas safety inspections, for residential rental properties, with recurring annual contracts to manage compliance at over 280,000 properties across Australia.
